Garden plots and/or allotment gardens can be in high demand. In Great Britain, waiting lists can encompass thousands of people and waiting times can be several years. A recent article in The Straits Times of Singapore) a crowded city-state of 6 million people on only 182,000 acres of land announced the opening of 187 new garden plots. With land constraints in cities, could a farmer close to a city offer gardening plots, oversight, tools, coaching, and even watering services? For many wanna-be gardeners, having an apprentice program might also have attraction.
