Word is out that a car rental company in Dubai (one of the world’s wealthiest global cities of almost 3 million people) is offering an electric car rental for as little as $1.50 per hour. SelfDrive, an online car rental company in Dubai is offering the deal that includes free charging. Even though you have to rent the car for a minimum of 24 hours, it’s a great deal.
The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority is helping by allowing all electric cars to charge free at any one of its 90 charging stations:
