Urban Tilth is another organizations wrestling to solve the problem of externalized people and unhealthy food. The solution is to work together to grow food.
Urban Tilth is located in the East Bay area of California in the town of Richmond – a community of about 100,000 people. Under the leadership of Doria Robinson, Urban Tilth now feeds 156 families a week from their urban gardens.
Urban Tilth touches on a slow but steady trend – don’t garden your own patch, but work together for mutual assistance and greater diversity of production.
