Bicycles Dominate in Utrecht, Netherlands

In an interconnected world, one happens in one part can be considered by other parts of the World. The city of Utrecht in the Netherlands is one of the most bicycle-oriented cities in the world. Now new development in the city is geared towards the bicycle as the primary form of transportation. The city of Utrecht, Netherlands is at the heart of one of the largest metro areas in the world called the Ranstad. While Utercht only has a population of 367,000 people, it lies within the much larger Ranstad metropolitan area of almost 7 million people.
