Big Oil – Helping Car Manufacturers Go Electric?

Shell Dutch Oil is one of the largest oil companies in the world as well as one of the world’s largest companies. Shell is partnering with Daimler (Mercedes Benz) BMW, Ford and Volkswagen to install fast-charging stations throughout Europe. Plans are to install 80 or more superchargers along highways in Europe by 2019 and 400 by the end of 2020.

Shell reports that electric car growth could displace almost 800,000 barrels of oil a day by 2025.
