California Water Wars – Locals versus Harvard University

Harvard University with its endowment fund bought a 6,565 acre farm (North Fork Ranch Vineyard) in California in an area already stressed for water.  They overplanted with a vineyard and demanded more water.  In the ensuring debates and reviews, the locals won.  On behalf of Harvard, it is understandable that everyone wants to invest their capital and make a return on investment.
