Agriculture and Forestry are growing their services of carbon sequestration to large carbon emitters.
Selling carbon offsets is becoming big business as the Nation of Zambia plans carbon offset ventures that will cover 5 percent of the nation’s land mass. The goal is to plant trees and preserve and rehabilitate forest over almost 10 million acres of land. That would equate to a farm that is 50 miles wide and over 300 miles long. The project will ultimately create over 23 million carbon credits a year and employ 65,600 people.
