Positive Future #133 (Feature photo – EPA Fuel Economy Stickers – Public Domain) The U.S. Presidential Administration announced last July it would cancel the legally mandated increase in fines to automakers for failing to meet mpg goals (CAFE Standards). The fines were set to rise from $55 to $140 per mpg per car sold.
