California Eggs and The Humane Society of the United States

Now it seems that the original intents of California’s 2008 Proposition 2 were side stepped. While proponents of this 2008 initiative thought it would mean cage-free eggs, the industry subverted going that direction by simply putting fewer birds in the already small cages. Back in 2008, 63.5 percent of voters voted in favor of Proposition 2.
