In 2010, America had 2,149,520 farms farming 915,680,000 acres. The U.S. population at that time was 308,745,539. That means there was one farm for every 144 people. It also means that there were 2.97 acres for every person. Fast forward to 2017. America had 2,048,000 farms farming 910,000,000 acres. The U.S. population in 2017 was 325,980,000.
