Touch the Soil News #301 A recent research paper by Dr. Benbrook for the Environmental Sciences of Europe reveals that global application of glyphosate has reached approximately 19 billion pounds since its introduction in 1974. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in the herbicide Round Up. It is primarily designed to be sprayed on crops that have been genetically engineered to survive the poison that kills living plants. Russia Wants to Lead the World in Organics and No GMOs

As Putin said: “It is necessary to have a nationwide approach on the issue and also by 2020 to fully meet Russian demand for locally produced Russian food.” Vladimir Putin (63) is publically ostracizing GMO foods and striving for an organic-based farming culture in Russia. The recent merger announcement by two of the world’s largest farm chemical companies suggests that it was masterminded by behind-the-scenes investors pushing for an unusual merger and subsequent restructure into three (3) companies.
