But what do you call it? Lab scientists and ranchers were headed for an all-out legal battle over what can be called meat. In a letter of conciliation, the proponents of lab meat and the ranchers sent a letter to the White house saying that the USDA and FDA should regulate on what they agreed should be called cell-bases meat and poultry.
