The Future of Urban Living?

Positive Future #360 (Feature photo – Personal Rapid Transit Podcar in Masdar – CCA 2.0 Generic) A futuristic city called Masdar City, is being built from the ground up to demonstrate what future sustainable cities will all entail. Funded primarily the city of Abu Dhabi, the project was launched in 2006. Ultimately the city would be home to some 50,000 people and 1,500 businesses. The businesses would be primarily focused on commercial and manufacturing facilities specializing in environmentally friendly products. Growing Food In Sustainable Cities

A city dedicated to green spaces, indoor food growing (to protect from the heat) and no cars. Based upon renewable energy where utility bills are low and a sense of community prevails, residents can also grow their own food.
