Cattle Freighter Sunk at Sea

Positive Future #809 (Feature photo – A Livestock Carrier from Australia – CCA SA 2.0 Generic Tom Jervis)

News is surfacing over the fate of 6,000 head of cattle and 43 crewmembers on a ship bound from New Zealand to China. The ship was caught in a typhoon near Japan and capsized. There seems to be concern about the ship’s mechanical soundness. A tragic story when it comes to the food chain. The hope is that other ships will be re-examined for their seaworthiness.
