Richmond, a town of 200,000 people lies in the middle of the larger metro area of Vancouver, British Columbia (population 2.6 million). Richmond just opened its 11th and largest community garden on Monday, April 4th, at which time all 200 plots were already taken. Unfortunately there is a waiting list of 500 persons looking for a gardening plot.
