Community Gardening at the Library

Shareable journalist Noah Lenstra brings us the story of how Libraries are picking up on the trend to use vacant spaces as community gardens, teaching gardens or urban farms to donate food. The idea of converting vacant public spaces into food gardens was popular in the past as Victory Gardens. Today, however, the need is more permanent and more vital for cities moving forward.
