Despite the Cost – Growing Food in City Buildings is Still a Vision

Despite geometrically higher costs, vertical growing structures in buildings are still a vision for many. Ariang News, of South Korea, brings us the story of how some buildings are already retrofitted for growing food. The claim by these vertical farmers is that they can achieve yields 50 times more than a farm field. For perspective, the U.S. has 70 percent more land per-capita than South Korea – making urban farming more imperative. You can watch the news video below and make up your own mind:
