Positive Future #368 (Feature photo – Topaz Solar Farm in California – NASA photo)
The U.S. Energy Administration just released numbers of how fast renewable energy is emerging in the U.S. – particularly solar and wind. Renewable energy represented 10 percent of all energy generated in the U.S. in 2018. Estimates are that will grow to 13% in 2020. That equates to a 30 percent growth in market share.
While the U.S. Energy Administration report can seem like dry reading, the underlying message is that renewable energy is coming on the scene like the tide – you don’t notice it until it is about to take over.
