Ford Buys Michigan Station

Built in 1914, the Michigan Station in Detroit is a connection to America’s past when people traveled and socialized together on trains. The station stayed open until 1988 when Amtrak service ceased to come to the station.

While it is not yet clear what Ford will do with the property, the future seems to have a better chance when it is connected to its history – as opposed to free floating without roots.
