Science Magazine journalist Robert Service brings news of a major project that is expected to be approved in Los Angeles. An ultra-inexpensive solar farm paired with what will be one of the world largest batteries.

The project is expected to provide 7 percent of the cities electricity when completed in 2023 – capable of powering 65,000 homes. The kicker is that it will produce power at rates below any fossil fuel alternative. You can read the full story here:
