Irrigation Tunnel Collapses – 104,000 Acres of Crops in Peril

A century-old irrigation tunnel in Wyoming has collapsed. Water has been halted to over 100,000 acres of crops in Wyoming and Nebraska. These farmers have all but had it as they have faced low grain prices, trade wars, flooding this spring and now a water crisis.

The irrigation tunnel collapsed on the morning of July 17. Due to repair logistics, no one has a time-schedule when the tunnel will be fixed and water returns to the 104,000 acres. The economic and financial impact to the region could be fatal to many farmers. You can read the full story here:
