Mirai – A New Textile to Replace Leather, Vinyl, Latex and Epoxy

While it is on the edge of agriculture, this new product replaces leather and other chemical textiles by farming with bacteria. By feeding certain bacteria a nutrient rich solution, a thick rubbery sheet is formed. AgFunder News brings us the story of Bucha Bio, a company that produces the new textiles.
