New Zealand folks are in a rage over the liberal policies of their government in allowing large tracts of farmland to be sold to foreigners. The four largest landowners in New Zealand are all foreign-owned forestry companies.
The latest concern is the sale of almost 200,000 acres to a foreign-owned forestry company. Estimates are that nearly $5 billion of sensitive land has changed hands into foreign ownership in recent times.
