The rising tide of electric buses replacing diesel buses is steadily gaining traction. CleanTechnica reported that the City of Oslo, Norway just ordered 42 articulated electric buses from BYD – the world’s largest electric bus manufacturer with operations in the U.S. and Europe.
The city of Oslo has been testing the buses since last December on lines that carry 50,000 people a day. Satisfied with the test, the city has now ordered the 42 buses. These articulated buses are very large – almost 60 feet long with an ability to bend in the middle.
