From military personnel and police officers planting urban gardens to Philippine Department of agriculture, millions of people are engaging and encouraging others to engage in urban food production.
Recently, the Philippine Department of Agriculture allotted $400 million Philippine Pesos (USD $8.5 million) to expand urban agriculture and further secure household food security.
