Ratcheting Up Food and Farming in the City

East Point, Georgia is a modest city of 34,000 people adjacent to Atlanta. What makes them unique is that they have been selected by the larger city of Atlanta to test the City Agriculture Plan. The City Agriculture Plan is designed to prioritize urban agriculture as a city initiative for both non-profit and for-profit enterprises. Driving this initiative includes solving the problem of Atlanta’s 35 food deserts.
