The Khaleej Times brings us the story of the building of the world’s largest indoor vertical farm, all under artificial LED lights. The $40 million dollar facility will be located in Abu Dhabi – one of the world’s most famous metropolitan city of some 1.5 million people. The desert city has hopes of increasing its food security footprint, since much of the food today must be imported. You can read the story here:
