The UK News company – The Telegraph – recently reported on the massive reforestation that is taking place in China. Currently China has some 514 million acres of forests, which it plans to expand to around 616 million acres over the next 17 years – that is over 100 million acres of new forest.
For perspective, that is a forest of 100 miles wide by 1,600 miles long. Over the past five years, China has spent over $65 billion for reforestation.
