Positive Future #84 (Feature photo – Skyway Manufacturing Facility – photo courtesy of Skyway technologies)
We’ve all rode on some version if what is popularly called the mono-rail. A train or gondola type “people holder” that speeds along a track or cable suspended above the ground. Now, an engineering group from Belarus (A former Soviet Union nation of some 10 million people) is pushing envelope of aerial transportation.
Recently, Clean Technica posted a story about SkyWay Technologies, the company from Belarus that now has dozens of engineers and technicians working. Skyway Technologies is now doing performance trials on the first prototypes. The question is, how much less expensive would a practical skyway be over the costly and quickly eroding asphalt roads that cover the planet?
