The Problem of “Big”

When a food contamination problem surfaces, the larger the farm or processor, the larger the problem. The USDA just announced a major recall – 200 million eggs. The suspect is a large egg farm in North Carolina which produces some 2 million eggs a day. So far, 22 illnesses have been reported from 9 states.

The farm affected is affiliated with Rose Acre Farms from Indiana, which is voluntarily recalling 206,749,248 eggs to be exact. You can get specifics of the recall from the FDA here:
