While everyone knows that solar cells are not enough to power a car, having a car covered in solar cells stirs the imagination. The Sono Sion is such a car and it can charge about 20 miles on the car from the day’s sunshine. The car also has a battery pack that can be charged at home for up to 160 miles of driving range.
With technology improving every year, solar panel cars may not be as far off as first thought. The vision of driving beyond the plug will inspire many young people moving forward.
