To shore up food gardening in the U.S., The U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington D.C. is reaching out across the nation to help promote urban food gardening. So far, they have made awards to 28 public gardens across the nation. Growing the talent and local knowledge of growing food is becoming a national focus.
