The municipality of Washington D.C. to create an Urban Agriculture Office that is charged with an Urban Farming Land Lease Program.
This places Washington D.C. among the ranks of a number of other cities creating Urban Agriculture Departments and programs to lease vacant city lots to urban farmers and community gardens.
