Will Parks & Recreation Become Urban Farms?

The city of  Vancouver (Canada), after cutting back its floral production for its parks, decided to start raising food for the city’s food insecure. Food is now being grown at the main nursery, at some golf courses and at a floral garden.

The Vancouver Parks and Recreation department maintains 1,600 acres of parks at 90 locations. How much of that 1,600 acres will migrate to food production in the coming years?
