Japan, home to some of the world’s largest automakers, is looking to phase out fossil fuel cars. According to a recent report from Electric Vehicles Research, the Japanese government aims to have all new cars sold in Japan to be fully electric or at least a hybrid by 2050.
The goal includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions of a single passenger vehicle by 90 percent by 2050. The Japanese government is also looking to provide subsidies to accelerate private-sector development of batteries and motors. You can read the full story here:
