It was not too many years ago that the idea of a city’s Parks & Recreation department to develop an agricultural park was unheard of.
The city of Boise, Idaho is at the center of a metropolitan area of 710,000 people. The city’s Parks & Recreation department has been working on and unfolded more plans of a 20-acre agricultural park. Various local partners are working together to demonstrate and engage people with elements of a community food system.
