Vegetable Gardens: 1-2 lbs. per 100 sq. ft.
Trees & Shrubs: ¼ lb. per one inch diameter of tree
Perennials & Roses: ¼ cup per each new plant

Not exactly a building block for a ground up specific soil but I would consider this a mortar holding all the bricks together. I find that adding need cake to my soil mix helps keep away bugs. I’ve read that it is a natural insect repellent as well as a mud to long term release of N and K

Being an organically minded gardener, I mixed 5ml of neem cake to a gallon of water to see what effect it might have against Thripes, Within 24hrs my sticky cards below around the tree trunk was speckeled full of the little Beasts from Hell, my tree seemed to heal overnight to a beautiful brilliant green, give or take a few battle wounds. Have decided that since it’s worked this good to my surprise, the next watering I plan to soak the neem cake first in the water before using it which should increase it’s strength. Can’t guarantee this kind of results for everyone, but Neem Cake has made a believer out of me, that it truly is an organic pesticide as well as a nutrient. Definitely has become a major tool in my bag of organic tricks of the trade.
