Grow Food at Schools – What Mega-Cities Are Having to Do

The City of Mumbai (Bombay) India is one of those mega-cities with 12.5 million people that are part of larger metropolitan area of 21 million people.  So, in a world of rising food prices, supply chain kinks and global tensions, what are you to do?

The City of Mumbai, after doing two test gardens, is going to create school food gardens at 250 of the city’s schools.  The produce will be used for midday meals at the schools.  You can read more of the story here:
