Besides using as a soil amendment it works very well in the compost pile increasing the temperature a good 20 degrees beyond that of grass clippings. It’s nice to see the pile heat to 155 degrees for a few days. Can’t beat Kelp4less free shipping, across the country in three days. Thanks!

Alfalfa is a great, cheap organic soil amendment. Also wonderful food source for fungi in your compost teas. Be careful of using too much alfalfa in soil mixes without adequate “cooking” time, it can burn your plants if you dont give it enough time to break down.

The alfalfa meal I purchased came as advertised. It smelled like it had just been cut. I utilized this in a soil mix I put together with several other amendments I also purchased and am happy to say the end result is far superior to any premixed amended soil sold that I’ve ever had the opportunity to use. Great products, great price, good people

I use the alfalfa meal in a tea .I have found that when you cook it(bubble tea) for three days you get this breakdown in proteins. The cooking makes the proteins more readily available and when you filter it and cut it by fifty percent you make this foliar spray that is a world beater.Plus the mix in the soil is just as good but more slow in up take.Id say my plants got a ten percent hike and they are already there. This is a game changer for me.Thanks K4L

After having your soil checked up, I decided to do major improvements with our soil this year, as well as adding 14 new barrel containers. (DIY self watering). Our results have been fabulous! Tomatoes and peppers are exploding with fruits. I use kelp and alfalfa meal, poultry compost, worming castings, and 6 other ingredients. After using the same soil since 1997, it did need some help on our main raised garden. We are very impressed with everything we have gotten from K4L. Also use grow and bloom products all the time.
