Many folks who want a second job or a small business of their own think about gardening, or urban farming. Some of the innovative ideas out there include offering to tend (farm) people’s community garden plots. Then there is the idea of renting out your lawn to an urban farmer or a group of folks that want a small garden plot.
It does not have to be vegetables that require a lot of attention and weeding. You can also start a nursery business of growing plants in pots. You can even sell them from your house as a yard sale or garage sale a few times in the spring.
