You may not know it, but Wichita, Kansas is also known as the “Air Capitol” of the world. Home to airplane manufacturers like Learjet, Cessna, Beechcraft and Airbus, the city is at the center of American aviation. Now Wichita is making another leap – into electric transit buses. A first for Wichita and Kansas, a federal grant and a willing city are making the leap. Wichita is at the center of a metro area of 650,000 people.
