HindustanTimes brings us the story of how the Chinese are planning to have a nuclear fusion generator (an artificial sun) in operation sometime in 2020. The apparatus is predicted to generate plasmas hotter than 200 million degrees Celsius (or 360 million degrees Fahrenheit). The heat could be used to run steam generators.
