City of Dallas – Pondering the Purchase of a Grocery Store

The Dallas Morning News brings an interesting story. The city of Dallas is contemplating buying a grocery story and turning it over to non-profits to operate.

South Dallas is a food desert and a previous attempt by the city to give a grocery store $3 million to locate there failed. Grocery stores moving out of neighborhoods is a national trend.
