Detroit, Michigan Considers Hemp Farming on 35,000 Empty Lots

The Press Democrat journalist Guy Kovner brings the story of unusual dimensions. The City of Detroit, with a population of 670,000 is at the center of a metro area of over 4.3 million people. Detroit has over 35,000 vacant lots that need the weeds mowed each week. Now the city is looking into developing the farming of hemp on these lots.
