Food Growing Technology – Another Step Ahead

It is no secret that the Netherlands has the largest greenhouse infrastructure in the world and is touted as the world’s second largest exporter of food. Now the Netherlands is teaming up with Singapore to boost their food production capacity.

Singapore is a small island nation of 5.7 million people that must import the largest majority of it’s food. Singapore has a national vision and goal to achieve food production capacity of 30 percent of its needs.

Hortdaily reports that a Singapore company in collaboration with the Netherlands is building out a very high-tech indoor facility capable of producing 33 tonnes of food a year and by capturing rainwater and using solar for energy. You can read the full story here:
