The Peninsula Newspaper, brings the story of four enterprising households, creating lives around vegetation, flowers and food. Gardening in the small nation of Qatar (2.8 million people), these gardeners go above and beyond the call of duty. Nearly 90 percent of Qatar’s food is imported with almost 25 percent from the U.S. This makes local food a real treat. Desalination provides half the water Qatar uses.
