The African Great Green Wall – One of Humankind’s Greatest Efforts?

The African Great Green Wall is intended to span across the continent to contain the spreading desertification along the border of the Sahara Desert. The goal of the project is to restore 250 million acres along the southern border of the Sahara Desert from coast to coast.

While tens of millions of trees have already been planted, it is but a fraction of the total goal. The 5,000 mile long wall of almost 70 miles wide, has not gotten a new boost of $14 billion in new financing. You can read the story here:
