Located in Asbury Park, New Jersey, is the Farm Without Borders. The farm’s produce is given away to local residents. The produce is accessible to residents 24 hours a day. The farm and its operations are overseen and financed by a non-profit group called Interfaith Neighbors. The mission of Interfaith Neighbors is to assist those less fortunate when it comes to meeting life’s basic necessities. The farm recently came into the news as it received a $100,000 donation from the Gannett Foundation to expand the footprint of the farm.

Charity, in the form of food, has become one of the largest movements in the U.S., as almost 50 million people are food insecure. You can visit their website here to learn more about this unusual effort: https://interfaithneighbors.org/kula-urban-farm/
