When China Needs Corn – Will It Start Global Food Inflation

China got the world’s attention this week as it purchased 3.72 million tonnes of corn from the U.S. this week. That would take roughly 850,000 acres of farmland to produce – a farm that is 10 miles wide and 135 miles long.
